Pinky M4L - HELP

Post by Rabalder » Sun Jan 24, 2010 11:49 am

Just downloaded M4L, and the revised version of ms pinky..
When I put the pinky-device on a track it doesnt show the pink record, or the green numbers, or any sample.. Just tilted lines all over..
I edited the parent folder as it told me to, but what now? I dont understand what to do???

PLEASE HELP..

Another thing.. When I download a new m4l-patch, where should I put it? ..Make a new folder for all the downloads??
Im new to all this max stuff, and are very confused.. 8O

Are you using Live 8.1.1 or one of the latest beta's? And is Max at version 5.1.2?

I think you may not have the search path set up properly. Not sure if Pinky came with instructions on that, but Max may need to know which folder to look at.

In Max, go to Options menu and choose File Preferences. In there, point to the folder with the pinky images.
Although if the .amxd file is in a folder with those images, it should detect them.

Images??
Pinky came with a little info-window that tells you to specify which folder the audio clips you want to use are in.. So I did.
But nothings changed. The pinky devise just looks dead..

It's a Max device and you're not point it to where the Max installation files it needs are stored for it to load properly. The solution has already been posted in this thread.

To specify the audiofile-path is one thing, but to understand that you need to download additional max/msp-patches from the ms.pinky website to make it work is something quite different..

At least I learned something new..

Hi guys,

Where can I get max patch for pinky? I have an old version of pinky and got the same error in my new 64bit music system. Can anyone give me the link or share the patch? Is there only way to buy this patch (in case pinky is not required)?
