Re: Rekon Waldorf Pulse Editor in Live
Looks interesting as I have had a Pulse for years. After looking at the Rekon site I found this:
"There is a problem in Cakewalk Sonar and Ableton Live where these hosts are not sending MIDI Poly Pressure messages from a VST correctly. This WILL affect the VST Virus Editor, since it relies on Poly Pressure messages for transmissions of patch data. This issue MAY affect MIDI Controller messages as well, which WILL affect all other editors, since most reKon editors rely on the transmission/reception of MIDI CC messages"

Just go into it's pref's and set it's midi io up. You have to set up a seperate
track to bring the audio back into live if you want to record it.
If your midi interface isn't multiclient you need to disable it in live's pref's

Re: Rekon Waldorf Pulse Editor in Live
Seems there is another setup possible, for those without multi client enabled drivers:
- create two midi tracks and set both to monitor in.
- mute the first midi track and put the controller vst in it
- open the pulse controller vst, go to file\preferences and enable midi thru.
set midi output to vst output or leave it empty
- set midi from on the first track to the keyboard you're gonna use with the pulse
- set the second track output to the midi port and channel for the pulse (or use an external instrument for this)
- set the second track input to the Pulse controller vst
When you play your keyboard you should now hear the pulse,
when you twist a knob on the pulse controller vst the pulse should react.
Nice controller!

hmmm...on the website is states that Live i supported under OSX, but the (demo)plug-in doesn't seem to be passing on midi messages. Am i missing a setup thing here?
iMac13,2 10.8.3 and MBP9,1 10.7.5 Live 9.0.2, M4L
Re: Rekon Waldorf Pulse Editor in Live
I can confirm that the Rekon pulse editor 1.5.2 works in Live 8.1.3 under OSX 10.5.8
It needs 3(!) midi tracks to work though.
The most important is that you create an output track that passes midi to the Pulse. the midi input for this track is another track containing the VST.
ReKon support sent me an image showing the setup. Contact them if it confuses you. They should sort out a manual or page on the site.

Re: Rekon Waldorf Pulse Editor in Live
The rekon plugin for my Pulse never really worked. I couldn`t get it to work. I had problems like with no other piece of software I had ever bought. Couldn`t even register it. I wrote about my issues but the help was for no use. I really have bought alot of software and hardware in the past and also use vst control software from other companies for some of my hardware and got all of them to work with the exception of the rekon pulse editor. I gave up on it and use the max4live device now.
