Why can't I hear MIDI notes when I click on them?

Post by jschmidtiii » Sat Mar 22, 2014 10:58 pm

Hi,

Is there a way so that when I click a MIDI note in my MIDI clip editor I can hear what note it is? It seems silly to have to guess at where the notes I want are (without thinking theory), and hit play/adjust each time until it's right. Am I missing something?

There is a little headphone icon in the upper left of the midi editor. Click that to toggle whether or not you hear the note when you click it.

Nope. And as far as I know, there is also no way to set the headphones (ie MIDI Editor Preview icon) to be ON by default. :x
