Scenes playing automatically one after another
Scenes playing automatically one after another
Hello,
I remember that there existed some solution for this in Live7/8, but maybe there is a better/simpler solution nowadays :
How to make that the scenes are launched automatically one after another every 4 bars ?
ie I only play first scene, and then the next scenes are launched automatically every 4 bars
Thanks in advance

Re: Scenes playing automatically one after another
Not for scenes but you have follow actions for clips...
If you have max4live you can also have follow actions for scenes however...

Theres a lite version of Follow for the price of a tweet...
Cheers

Re: Scenes playing automatically one after another
And without Max4Live, is there a way to do so ?
even with dummy clips , or something else ?
I would really love that the next scenes are auto-launched every 4 bars...

Re: Scenes playing automatically one after another
Maybe look at CliphX, otherwise you'll need to do a MIDI Loopback thing with an IAC driver...
Everything is a workaround....

Re: Scenes playing automatically one after another
Why haven't they included this in Live9 ?
Do you think Scenes Follow actions will be included in a future version (like Live 9.2 ?)

Re: Scenes playing automatically one after another
You can sort of work around this without max4live. Select all the tracks at the top from left to right and press Ctrl+G to group them. This creates a group of all the selected tracks and now you can setup a follow action to play the next scene for each scene on the grouped tracks. I read how to do this in the manual.

Re: Scenes playing automatically one after another
Just select multiple clips at once. So select all the same ones that are in the same scene and use the clip Launch options

I'm afraid to click on "djdonts" link since it's likely spam

Yes there is a way and it's very simple.
Just create a midi track and route Midi to IAC Driver (MAC) (for PC you need to find and install a midi virtual driver.)
create a midi clip of 4 bars and at the end of those 4 bars, put the note that triggers next scene.
then you can copy paste this midi clip to all the scenes, make it longer/shorter...

Could you explain this in a little bit more detail? Thanks.lapieuvre wrote:Yes there is a way and it's very simple.
