How to remix a acapella in Ableton?
Hi All
I have been searching about "how to remix a song if it has an Acapella". I didn't find anywhere. Please do tell about it. I will be very thankful for that.

It's a three step process:
1. Import acapella into an audio track in Live.
2. Create music that goes with the acapella on other tracks in Live.
3. Render

Not really.
You are asking a similar question as:
"I have a blank canvas and a single idea. How can I make a complete picture?"
A simple answer may be "paint something".
Without doing the damn thing for you:
- Figure out the BPM of your accapella
- Set the acapella file to follow the metronome at your determined BPM. Set some warp markers at intervals so you can adjust the overall BPM if desired.
- Start making a drum beat
- Start making other elements.
If you really need to know the in depth "how to's" you need to start figuring out how to construct songs, how to use DAW software, and synths etc.

I tend to just pull up the original track and find the bpm of thatThe Finn wrote:Trickier than it soundsjestermgee wrote: - Figure out the BPM of your accapella

I don't know why I never remember to do the idea I came op with (and no, I'm sure I'm not the only one that thought of this... But it was original to me)...The Finn wrote:Trickier than it soundsjestermgee wrote: - Figure out the BPM of your accapella

Warp the original track which is a million times easier, then align the acapella directly under the properly warped track til you get some phasing out. Now consolidate the Acapella with a proper amount of bars to start it and your done... works perfect... but somehow I keep forgetting to do it when I have a particularly tough acapella, and I have tons of them.

Re: How to remix a acapella in Ableton?
^^ Yep, something like that.
Live makes this all so much easier. I haven't done any real remixes in Live like I use to mainly because I do mostly "work" in live and Remixes are play time things that I use to do to learn about filters, EQ and seating instruments within vocals and all that stuff. Fun stuff.
Most of the remixes I ever did I used the original track (no acapellas) and tried to filter down elements of the track so I could add my own flavour. This was before I had money or live so in my old Buzz Tracker program I simply used a program called "Tap Tempo" to tap along with the song for 20 seconds to figure out the BPM, set tracker to same, create a simple beat and make sure it stuck to the track. Then start chopping and building using a variety of techniques.
Hard to sum up 8 years of experimentation into a single post on how to create a remix. Start experimenting.
