^It does but what do you mean Nemoy? Looks pretty real time from the vid.
Oh do you mean controller? Maybe a typo for converter...

Re: real time Audio to Midi
Project's description says that DAWs see the standalone version as midi controller.
There will be also a VST version and if 75000$ limit is reached there will be a version for iPods.
Check the Kickstarter page for details.

This .... http://jamorigin.com/docs/midi-guitar-for-win-mac/ works just fine already, it's polyphonic, and it works in realtime.
Very impressive. Try the demo.

Re: real time Audio to Midi
I've just give a first shot with the beta.
Yes I couldn't resist anymore and I don't regret the purchase even if it is still in beta phase.
Very promising and yet a very efficient audio to midi real time app.
super easy to include in any DAW.
and the vst version is scheduled >> all good.
It smells like a future must have, imho.

Re: real time Audio to Midi
How does it communicate with the host? This would be much more immediate than Live's convert and the price is pretty good.
Re: real time Audio to Midi
Evan Balster has built an imitone audio driver.
Launch imitone first, then ableton live.
microphone should be detected with no problem.
Then on a midi track, choose input from >>> imitone [channel 1]
Arm the record for this track and you're good to go.
simple and efficient.
I can imagine the joy with the future vst version.
It has some incredible results, assuming I'm not a singer at all.
Whistle is super efficient especially if you combine the pitch bend in imitone itself [which is working pretty good]
i.e. for slide effects
EDIT: it works like a charm for long sustain notes, short phrases are better recorded at a slower bpm.
Though some fast mouth kid playing can bring something to the funny results [off course, depending on the instrument you choose]
It is a step beyond the native audio to midi in ableton live.
real time, you know directly if you hit the right note with your voice.
Personaly, for immediate result, I whistle it is very efficient
Recording while you sing > workflow booster, really
