Make sure you not only give it time to download, but also install. In other words, when shutting down and restarting Live each time don't restart it immediately, or else it might not install properly.

Yeah it says, "Wait a bit". Really it means wait a lot like days or weeks or just get it over with and download the whole big ass package and get it over with. I can probably download/install Reasons new update on all of my machine before one Ableton auto update actually arrives.

Left it trying to load vst and it eventually loaded and is fast after that at loading. Task manager reports it as not responding but just leave it a long time and it will load.

Latest Cubase update = 148MB
Latest Live update = 680MB (more than 4 times bigger)
Turn on automatic updates in the preferences. You won't have to download the whole thing again, it'll just download the update.
Just turn the option on, close Live, wait a few seconds before opening again, then give it 5-10 minutes to download, close, then open again and it should be updated.
Yep. This just worked for me...
Gonna play around with it and see if I run into any problems...

The automatic update installed it on my pc too. I've been using it for a few hours with no problems.

Took about 4 minutes to download... 1 minute on launch, and 10 seconds on each launch since
Been using it all day without any issue

Man, I just don't understand why it's so inconsistent for people. Sigh, I'll sleep on it.

Loaded 9.1.2 last night. All appears to be as it was with 9.1.1. Not overly impressed by the new auto text colour changes. The texts stay in their new chosen colour even when the clip is de-activated - which looks well weird.
I did have one crash last night when I removed a memory stick (which Windows said I could)... but that seems to be par for the course for me at the moment with Live 9.

Hmmm, automatic update is activated for me, but it ain't happening. Not so far as I can tell. Would a firewall interfere with the downloader?

They are already at 9.1.3b
Seems they could have waited and integrated that into the current release. Still, it's good to see them working

the 9.1.2b5 seemed more stable.
Wait, Lives crashing every time i save and i wonder if it's got something to do with the update.
Are you getting serious program error messages? I'll have to test it with the beta.
no such thing, just direct crash while collect & save.
and I've been able to reproduce it on the new beta so, to be continued
