Links OK now.
Puppet things is for a friend, she'll be reading from her new book at a release event and wanted sounds/music. Poem is about a magician and a princess ("The marionettes in Prague").

And cello... that's such a human instrument... A favourite thing for me is a piano/cello piece by Schumann...

Me like.
Is there a guitar string glide sound in there?

annadyne - listened to some of your work again. Me like.
And personally I would like some more punch added at some places. To disturb the floating feel.
But that's me...

hi again conny!

howdies...

glad you liked the stuff!
thanks so much for the constructive criticism.... adding a bit of punch.. rhythm injection.... yes... that's what Cristelan is supposed to reflect... the other pieces were really more experiments... that i wound up being somewhat happy with....

my big problem with beats is that i hate regular acoustic and electronic drum sounds, unless maybe it's for film work.... so it takes me a lot more time to create them from samples of completely NON-drum sounds or to synthesize them so they don't sound like the typical thing..... rather like trying to grow all the ingredients in your garden that go into each meal.... painfully purist....but that's half the fun of it... ay?

thank you once again for taking the time to give some input....
p.s..... me mum recommended the same thing -

cheerios and cornpuffs,

Agreed.

And I often feel silly when I try to use drums and bass as in "ordinary" music. I soon feel the urge to cook and mash and smash them up (to hide my unability to make "music" maybe)!

Sounds you have grown yourself has a special good taste and one handles them with care. And not like another halfly forgotten sample-CD falling out of the shelf.

Say hello to mum, ounds like a reasonable person

Everything was created in Live 4, with some initially sampling/chopping done in Adobe Audition.

First post of RoughDraftEnt goes directly into the post your music thread - good!
But you have some clap sounds that are very uneasy to my (old) ears.

Happy wellcome!

The track "Resting Place" below was written using Live 4 and then mixed in SX3:

3 techno and 1 electro track

http://www.d1recordings.com/banner_news/index.asp?id=7

A 4 track EP, soon to be a 3 track EP because i've lost confidence in the track "Can't sit still". To much going on at once i reckon, and the beat needs more pound and less mush.

I posted my own topic flagging this, i forgot about this thread (honestly) so if i pissed anyone off, apologies

what the heck..

this is a remix i did for a buddy of mine out of Vancouver BC - quick little dealio, hasn't gone through any post prod unless you count one pass through Ozone :)

sort of a housey reinterpretation of a broken beat track -- not normally my style but was challenging and fun at the same time!
