Anyone here use Vengeance Sound Phalanx plug-in?

Any tips or videos on using it in Live with Push or Maschine?

I can't find much on on it besides their videos which don't show any integration or setup.

thanks

Good one

I read the manual... has ZERO on integration with a DAW or use of controllers.

and like i said above..... watched all 10 of their video tuts on YouTube, which are almost the only videos out there that I can find.

Thanks tho... :/

I think it would help if you were more specific about what you mean by "integration". I mean, it seems to work like any other sampler plug-in, you drag it onto a midi track, and you integrate it with Push the way you would any other vst, by sending it notes and CC messages. (Usually works best to rack your vst by cmnd/ctrl-G, or putting an instrument rack on the midi track and then putting the vst inside it, as that will make the "integration" more fluid for Push)

I'm playing around with it now seeing what works better for me.

I was referring to setup... in a drumrack using the single version or the 16 version with multiple midi tracks using external instruments, etc... sure there's a few more workflow options. Those are the 2 options that I'm working with. .

Not a straight forward vst since its a multi-out and it also allows you to set the 16 pads as a multi-pitch sound or drum kit or combination of the two within its midi settings.

I dont see the value of putting 16 singles into a drumrack when you can just have one occurence (16version) on midi track and set it to a KIT instead of multi instrument in its midi routings which put entire kit to ch.1, especially if all you're using is one-shots/drums... but again, just got it so not sure of best use which is why I asked for other users "integration" of it into their workflow.

Plus triggering from Maschine which I haven't been able to do. Push no problem as well as MPK49 no problem.

Anyway, I'll get it sorted as I get more familiar with it.

...this post is dated so I am not sure if it is relevant anymore, but someone else may need the same information..

In Ableton create a MIDI track and drop in Phalanx.

Then create another 5 subsequent midi tracks. The configuration on these extra midi tracks is slightly different. The extra channels should read like this;

All Ins = All Ins
All Channels = All Channels
*Master = VPS Phalanx
now below should be a new list - select the corresponding midi channel you need
2-VPS Phalanx

*once you select VPS Phalanx for an output on each of the subsequent midi channels you will have access to a list of Phalanx 16 midi channels.

This midi setup can be applied to any similar multitimbral VST setup. NI Maschine and an Access Virus Ti would also be set up this way. External midi hardware would be better suited to use Ableton's External Instrument module found in the Factory Instruments collection. A Nordlead 4 for instance.
