Adding Live Sets

I am trying to record my first song in Live 8 Lite Fender Edition and am having some trouble.

The song is just me playing an acoustic.

The first part of the song is 100bpm in 4/4 time.

The second part is at 120pbm in 3/4 time.

Then it repeats the first and second parts again.

Just a basic song to try and figure out how to do an actual recording now that I have figured out some of the basics of Abelton with the help of this forum.

I recorded the first section with the metronome enabled in one Live Set. Then I did the second the same way.

I tried to import the second part into the first part Live Set and the second part inherited the 100bpm in 4/4 time of the first part.

Is their a way to combine two parts of a song with different bpm's and time signatures?

Or do I have to record with an external metronome and not use the metronome in Abelton?

If you're recording in session view, use named scenes to control tempo and signature. You find the naming conventions at the bottom of this section: 7.2 Tracks and Scenes.

If you're recording in arrangement view you have to use two mechanisms
6.4 Time Signature Changes
and
Tempo Automation; see 19.5 Drawing and Editing Automation and then look for "Mixer" in the devices menu and "Song Tempo" in the parameter menu of the master track.
