Ironically, I foresee a non-desperate asian milf eager to jump on a white hot rod in your future. Or we're just sharing browser history.
Yep. When you only have two or three minutes to make an impression, bringing up women driver stereotypes is a surefire winner.

You might have enough time leftover to explain how you're cool with women in the workplace as long as they know how to apply make up properly, stick to basic admin roles and have a tidy arse.

I'm looking for commitment, which is why my music is childishly simple.

Well, that's what I tell the ladies.
I tell them that too... then I play your music.

Everyone should have those skills. :P

And I would never tell someone to stick to certain roles if they want to take work off my hands.

Although getting laid can be a good time, I think I’ve reached a mentality where I find it a bit odd that a biological function is so tied to somebody’s sense of self-worth, especially given all the other components involved in attempting to do so and maintain it. It’s a base level primal urge and yet society highly elevates its importance.

This isn’t to say I’ve reached some zen level of celibacy. I just find its importance odd. We can all perform the basic function on our own with a lot of time and drama saved.

Good point. I feel similarly towards people who can't be alone with themselves for 5 minutes, which apparently seems to become more the norm, coincidentally starting around the same facebook and phones as tablets became the norm. If you aren't texting or talking to someone every five minutes then something must be wrong with you and you're a loser. So now people feel like they have to look busy doing something on the phone just to not feel like a loser. (Using it to avoid conversation otoh isn't as big a deal imo)
Society highly elevates its importance because it’s a base level primal urge
FTFY

I don't think there's any difference between that and why fart jokes and love songs will never get old with most people.
It's why they watch and listen to the same shit over and over again.

We could just say that you're one of the more evolved ones.

There's also the case that (and I think this might be more of current trend or an american thing) of how much constant gratification a person needs to feel good about themselves.
It isn't enough that someone said 'You're awesome!" a month ago, it seems like a lot of people need esteem boosters like they need sugar or coffee. But again, maybe it's an american thing, like a side effect they way this society has been orchestrated. Sort of like how magazine covers can make women feel insecure about themselves...

I think one of the greatest freedoms every person should have is to NGAF what other people think and to feel good about themselves. That doesn't have to equate to being an arrogant prick (that can equate to idiocracy)

But this is the irony, millions of idiots are shagging like bunnies and having kids where nice intelligent folk like yourself should be taken. Of course, a lot of that is on you, but you know what I mean.

Social networking has made everybody think they can and should be the star of their own reality show. I don’t participate because I don’t think my life is all that entertaining and nor do I think the mundane tasks of my day should be pitched as such. I would be upset if I posted a picture of a steak I am grilling and I got a bunch of likes or comments. The whole thing extremely devalues those people who have interesting lives and are worth following. And like a lot of conversations, people aren’t really paying attention. They are just waiting to insert their input or angle.

When I even think about attempting to get laid I can’t help but reflect on my past laid endeavors and connect all the emotional, mental, and financial drama involved in that relationship, no matter how short or long. In the end it wasn’t an overall win. Sadly (but I accept it) I’m not in touch with any of my exes because there really wasn’t much there to begin with after the infatuation phase ended. These aren’t people I can kick it with and completely be myself.

Other’s experiences may vary (I sure hope so). :x

I've never been much of a 'hunter' myself, and while I may not have 'snagged a lot', the few relationships I did have were worth it.
The artificiality of the 'mating dance' (like clubbing) never resonated with me, or even pick up lines.
Besides, I don't think anyone can disagree with the power of improv.

I still think the Universe would be more balanced if you got some pussy though.

So, if you could have that done by Saturday that would be great.

If it's any consolation beats, I've had one girlfriend and a dozen pointless dates in the same period of time.
My biggest problem is at my age most women in their 40's are career oriented beyond anything I'm remotely interested in.
Basically they're boring and see me as a project. <-- this line of thinking doesn't help, but I really don't want to with someone who has become home bound, who isn't interested in music and film as much as they are some supposedly 'good' TV show.

One of the biggest problems with this is if you're interested in music, electronic or rock, that isn't an established 'mature' form like jazz or classical, most women over 35 consider this to be kid stuff. Hell, even the 25 year old I dated in about 07 considered it time to get busy on the career and housekeeping etc. Then of course the obviousness of the other extreme is glaring; a large portion of women still interested in art, film and music are rife with issues that make me look like the sanest person alive. My last date consisted of almost two months of emails about literature and film etc. and two meetings that were beyond awkward. She wasn't a bad looking gal, but the whole liberal white man is evil thing was a bit much to take. You have to be really drop dead sexy for me to overlook things like you believing Bob Marly was killed by the CIA because government=evil!

I guess it comes down to the older you get the less willing you are to make the same mistakes over and over again. That comes from both sides of the fence.

I don’t even know if I can close the deal anymore. I can definitely open the deal and keep their attention, sometimes for hours on end but as soon as there is a hint of a deal things usually go sideways.

But I get my “high” from the fact that I can just keep their attention for so long. If I was a completely undesirable troll then they wouldn’t spend the time with me. Plus I genuinely like meeting new people (when drunk). A lot of times I don’t even try to close the deal and in my own way I’m showing women that not all men are just out to fuck them. A good night out doesn’t have to lead to something else.

Sure, but I'll be willing to bet you also are completely unaware of when they just want to get laid and you're missing their queues.
Plus in reverse, I do this a lot as well based on my knowledge that I'm not going to want to be with them for any length of time. If I know I'm going to dump them for some reason in three months I don't engage. The older you get the more you don't want to hurt someone just to get laid.
