Limitations with Live 9 Intro, or is it just 'User Error?'

Post by epuentesjr » Tue Apr 29, 2014 6:07 am

Hey guys,
So question. I have Live 9 Intro and every time I go to install external VSTs/plug in's and even after having installed jBridge, I can get the VSTs themselves to upload and be made visible on the program VST folder itself, but it always looks like to me the extension of the file doesn't match up with what's required from Abelton. I don't know if that makes any sense but I'm so confused as to what I need to do.

I want something similar to EQ8 or even Korg M-1 (piano) but can't get them to pop up on the program when I click on them. Any ideas as to what I can do to circumvent this?

Thanks,
Enrique

Let me guess, you're on Windows?

What you need is to figure out where Live is going to look for your plugins and then put them there. The good news is Live will even tell you where that is...try the built in manual/help feature.

Of course if you are on Mac, then it's a bit easier

Another thing to try on a PC is Alt-Click the Rescan Plug-Ins button in Preferences->File/Folder tab.
LIVE 9.1.7 x64, PUSH w/PXT, APC40, KEYSTATION PRO88, Radium61
Win8.1 Pro, 4820k(4.5GHz)/32GB/840ProSSD/RME Babyface
