freezes loading live 4 or 5 when my MBox is plugged in USB?

so it opens fine when there is no mbox.
problem is that i really need to use the protools box to record vocals.
.it worked fine the first couple of days with live 5 but now it freezes on loading (audio i/o settings)

on which computer and operating system do you use Live?

im using ableton 5 on a g4 titanium laptop and also a g4 laptop with the older screen.
