Pushbutton dimness

I am a new Live and Push user.

While the pads on the Push are more than bright enough (assuming the power adapter is plugged in), the pushbuttons are very dim. They are easy enough to read in a low-light environment but in a lit room they can be difficult to read. Their brightness level does not change if the power adapter is plugged in.

Is this normal behavior for the Push? Is there a way to adjust the brightness of the pushbuttons?

Yeah, they're way too dim for me too and no, I don't believe there is any way to improve.

Dim here, power supply helped slightly.
