Where is swing quantize? (repost)

Post by Sebastian » Thu May 08, 2014 1:27 am

HI all

I was digging through forums and manual but couldn't find a straight fwd explanation on how to apply swing quantize on Ableton.

I know about the Grooves I can load. Is that the only Swing tool? I do want to know if there is a specific non grooves swing fucntion.

Note: I do not have Push

Thank you

No you pretty much have to use the Groove Pool.

There were recently some good tutorials on how to use this pretty efficiently.

They have the Mpc swing grooves which are pretty much the standard swing quantize grooves.

With clyphx you get access to the Swing that Push uses.
You can easily "program" a controller to access it, albeit only with buttons. If you want it with a knob, you would have to access clyphx with something like Bomes MT.

Interestingly the Swing range that Push uses is only the half range that's possible. With clyphx you get access to the full range. So clyphXs 100% is Pushs 200% (which Push can't access but displays in it's display)
