I would like to use the solo and the cue function in one time,but I have some problem with it.
So my setup is simple,the master out is channel 1-2 and the cue is 3-4.
You can see all my details on the pictures.
My plan was switching betwen the cue and solo mode.The first problem is,You can't midi map the cue/solo buton.
I have earlier version of Ableton live,but I tried with the Live 9 and still the same.
Okey it is not a big thing,but it can be very simple to switch one button,not with the mouse.
The second problem can be dangerous in live situation,you choose the cue function and You want the to hear one channel before pull up to the mix,and after this time you want to switch to solo mode, and now accidently the selected cue track still down,and switced to solo,no sound at the end.
Hope You understand.
So I tried to figure how to do another way.
My idea,use to send 'A' to cue output (3-4) and send individual tracks with prefeder,doesn't matter what is the value of the mixer fader,it's going to send 'A' with full lever.It's seems working fine,and the send knobs are midi mappable.
The problem is,when you want to solo one another track,you can't hear any sound anymore on cue output becouse the send 'A' is not selected to the solo tracks,and I have no option to always select send 'A' also all the time when I wish to hear the cue,I have some other sends with effects.
The reason why I wish to use solo function ,becouse I have no full songs just some short-or longer parts of sounds,sequenes and I would like to play with it and improvise,I can do fast switch between track's sounds and it could be interesting, and you can solo multiple channels also.
For example I have a lighter part of the music with strings and pad,all of these parts are selected together,and the track activators are disabled,but have sound becouse they chosen by solo,so you can play with the levels with the sends and after you deselect any solo buttons of these 3 stuffs the other kick-bass-hihat going away,and the strings,pad muted.Sound good to me.
I think it is very basic stuff,but when to much sounds are in there,I need the cue function to hear parts,before I mix them together.
