Do I need to buy a sound card to run Live????

I have a new Mac G4 800 QS and wish to purchase Live but I am not sure if I need to buy a sound card to use Live. I just have the stock sound card that came in the G4 when I bought it new. If I do need one can anyone recommend a reasonably priced one.

Hey Scott,

You do not need an audio interface for Live unless you are recording audio into your computer. If I remember correctly the new QS G4 does not have an audio input, but it does have an audio output. The other reason to have an audio interface for Live is if you want to "prelisten" to your clips. It depends on your hopes of how Live should meet your needs. What are your needs?

Have you downloaded the demo yet?
