Questions about Velocity

Just wondering why the default velocity of Midi Notes is 100 and not 127?

So for HiHats as an example, up to know Ive been drawing my notes in and then pulling some of them down in velocity to create more human feel etc...

I appreciate you can change the default but Im just wondering why its set at 100 and not the maximum of 127?

to set the default velocity value of a given clip, click the pencil, click to make a new note in the clip (but dont let go and hold it), then drag up to 127, now the default for new clips will be 127 for that clip.

well...because 127 is like WAY TOO LOUD lol.

it's like always leaving your radio volume on full so that everytime you turn it on it's so loud that it makes you piss your pants from shock

Default is 100 so you can have accented notes above it.
