"Midi to" not available

"Midi to" not available

When I create a new midi track and want to send midi to another track the option "midi to" is not there...just "midi from"! What am I missing? I'm using Live 9.1.2

Do you have an audio device on the track? If so, the MIDI outs disappear. I just went through this 2 days ago trying to get my Virus set up. The tutorial song had the MIDI outs, and then I realized my default tracks in Live have a Utility on them, which made them lose the MIDI out section.
