I just got my Leap Motion, installed Geco and Loopmidi (on windows). But I cant get it to work in Ableton.
Which control surface do I use in preferences?
How do I assing movements to parameters? I have tried to assign movemts to controll macros, but I cant mark a button then do a movement to assign. And I cant figure out which cc value the I have to use for each macro.
I get no reaction in Ableton at all. I tried it on the Massive standalone, and it worked like a charm.
Leap motion and Ableton, how??
Re: Leap motion and Ableton, how??
Hopefully you should see a new option in the pulldowns related to the Leap Motion being present. Maybe it even says something likedozeren wrote:Which control surface do I use in preferences?
"Leap Motion".
I think you should select that one

Hmmm... I'm not sure, but I _think_ I would have done that if it turned up. But ta for your try

Re: Leap motion and Ableton, how??
To get serious a bit.
I just had the chance to try this out on my win 7 pc in the studio, and here it works. Still dont find Leap Motion in the dropdaown of controll surfaces, but selected Loopmidi in the input menu, and then I could map any button to a gesture. Hmm... me thinks this might be a win 8 issue. Of course, it might, just _might_, be me fucking up also.
So half sorted out

Not sure what I did wrong last night, but it works now on the win 8 pc as it does on the win 7 pc. Oh, well
