That you have a hard time understanding this concept somewhat baffles me to be honest.

But if you are so interested in defending his behaviour, please elucidate for me in how far Goddards post differed from this.

ON my reading, Goddard's intention was to be offensive.

derzai's intention was to make a point that was relevant to the conversation.

Secondly, I must confess that while I do find people sharing intimate details of their sex life on the ableton forum is a little bit too much information, the content of what he shared honestly did not seem to be offensive to me. Plenty of people - male and female - do like oral sex; some of them (apparently) like swallowing semen. I could tell you my own preferences, but, as I said, I don't want to overshare. Point is, it's a big world out there. Tastes, um, differ. There are people who like stuff that I don't like. Who am I to disagree?

I acknowledge that you read it differently from me. You seem to have a powerful emotional reaction to derzai's (over)share. That's also fine. People differ. But I am just suggesting that you consider whether some of your reaction might be related to your own assumptions, interpretations and projections.

Anyhow, I am repeating myself. It does not seem as if you are willing to consider that, and this discussion is in danger of getting into a yes it is/no it ain't kind of battle. So I will try not to go on with this & bore everyone even more.

But please consider actually talking this over with your woman. Show her this thread and ask her what she thinks. If I'm correct then she will be less than pleased with how a conversation about women is conducted here. I agree with the TMI and I see no purpose of this "information" in a discussion about misogyny except to build up a strawman and to frame the whole debate about sexism as a matter of, well, sex.

So as I see it he wanted to nothing but offend as well (and brag about the sex he may or may not have had)


But as I said above, I would like to bow out of this "discussion" now, because I can see where it will lead...again!
