I also don't think music being a "boy's club" has anything to do with anything. You offer a product, and those who are interested in it will naturally gravitate towards it. The fact that you wish more females would do so not only lumps all women together, but also represents an expression of your desire that we be different, or at least that we modify our behaviour to comply with your sexist idealism. In other words, it is a negative judgement of the character of a synthetic collective, which you have pieced together based on your own prejudice about what it means to be human.
