That's the problem. You say to yourself "well, I'd like a new pack, but I want to wait till it's on sale" and then for me who uses studio one also it's like "but, it only works with live and I don't want to spend the money"

(makes crazy sign)

I bought Olympus Elements - have not installed yet but could not resist the demos. I need to do a total install first. Should be good.

Anyone have experience with either of these? Olympus Elements in particular fills a hole in my sounds and sounds absolutely incredible.

Yes! Bought Dark Synth, Digital, AutoBeat and Dub Machines. Add to that the educational Suite license and Ableton's feeling a lot more happy with a new customer, so am I with my new devices!

The main downside of buying Dark Synth is: I have to go to work today; I have a dinner engagement tomorrow; I am spending the whole weekend packing up my house. I won't have any time for music. And I want to spend the whole time making new sounds 8)

Know the feeling, however I have exams. If I don't get to pass one, I can't write my thesis. Yesterday I was just playing 10 minutes (or was it 2 hours?) and made such nice, weird, wonderful sounds... Choices choices...

I must really say that I like Max For Live so much! It is just amazing that one can have synths, fx and midi fx in the style of all the Ableton native devices. Now just figuring out if I could dive a little more into Python and make a custom script to control all those little devices.

So I've gotten "darwin" and "digital" (max for cats) and I think I'm done. Who knows though, tomorrow may bring another day

BTW, why do I have to reauthorize live EVERY time I put in a new pack :x

B'day this month (hint, hint ableton ) and i'm trying to save for an interface and i need a new laptop! :x

I bought TT total bundle last month so i'm pretty much covered for, well everything!

Darksynth does sound good for atmospheres and textures though. I have S1 as well but pretty much use Live exclusively at the moment, love the MFL integration.

I think the difference is this is designed for Live, SMs is just wavs and rex loops.

@eyeknow, extended till monday! :mrgreen:

Just got dub machines and i must say:I m speechless.
I'm a big fsn of dub so i tried a lot of software based dub fx
but this is defenitly the best software dub fx I've ever seen.
If you're into dub, this one is a must have!

How long was it ago since the last sales? Anyone got an idea?
Is it like once a year?
