EQ Three is altering the sound too much

Post by 3phase » Mon Aug 15, 2005 2:49 pm

EQ Three is altering the sound too much when all controls are on 0 you still hear changing the centerfrequencies...

Its a nice tool but i often cant afford to insert it in a sum because it fucks up my mix. would be good if it would have a neutral setting from which the cut fx can be performed...its also not helpfull to use the bypass when you hear the change so much.

Someone a while back posted about how EQ4 sounded better, and used less CPU than EQ3. I think it was AdamJay.

In short, use EQ4 instead.

I agree. I also tend to use it as it was intended - as a DJ style cut filter. Try doing this; say you want to cut and filter the bass occasionaly. Instead of cutting it with the bass mute switch and moving the frequency, leave the bass mute switch on and turn the plugin on and off. That way when you're not 'filtering' the plugin isn't 'inline'.
