Hi koza,
I play guitar and in order to use live (recording and triggering clips) I use the Behringer FCB1010-Foot-Controller. And I´m highly delighted! The Behringer itself is a solid piece of Hardware and the integration with live is very easy: You can program the different controllers with any Midi-signal (Note on/off, ProgramChange, ControlChange) and assign them to clips in Live. The Behringer has even two (!) expression pedals (for volume, crossover, fx-control e.g. in live). And after all: It doesn`t cost that much

get the behringer, the price and performance/flexibility are unmatched, and it is a well built, solid piece of gear. Not to mention that it is considerably cheaper than less flexible pieces of gear. I use it to not only to loop bass, guitar and key parts, but also even have a bank where each pedal triggers different clips (I use it as a poor man's kick drum and hi hat trigger). Live and the fcb 1010 are both flexible enough that you can do just about anything you could imagine with the two.
