pops after freezing a track

Post by summersc2002 » Sun Aug 14, 2005 9:24 am

I have the pro 53 vst loaded up and with a bass preset. I have been playing around with this set for a few weeks with the track frozen before. Tonight after a froze the track, I hear a pop every 2 bars (the clip length). As soon as I unfreeze the track and play it, no clicks.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Any suggestions?

Chris

seems that it is creating a loop with non zero crossections. I am not sure what to advise but I just wanted to say something as I know all too well what it feels like to deal with NI support.

NEVER AGAIN if i can ever help it.

I also encountered this problem. I contacted Ableton but wasn't able to get a more detailed description of my problem to them before I left for vacation so I am waiting till I get home before I bitch some more. I encountered the problem more with Operator and Garritan Orchestra (especially with effects like reverb on them) than I did with audio although I also did with audio. I think this may have something to do with the way in which things wrap around if you know what I mean. When you render a piece of audio you can choose to render as loop and it will wrap the effects back onto the beginning of themselves. Without that I think you end up with a break in the loop which is what we are hearing. Hope this helps although I would really just want the Abletons to fix it so it was a non issue myself.
Cheers
