I don't completely expect people to follow my expectations regardless of where they are. It isn't a cultural thing, you either get it or you don't.
If you don't get it, you can ask or you can forget about it.
Not sure what you mean by being tolerant. To be less condescending...not sure about that...and there may be a little bit of pot calling kettle here.
The thing is is when I'm feeling proper and serious it applies more to matters I consider more proper and serious, which favors more of the offline world.
It's here where I like to digest my favor towards The Absurd.
I understand you want to project a sense of proper and intelligent manner and that's normal, but it's kind of like a pastor wanting to teach the gospel in a biker bar.
Sometimes you're expecting someone to play chess with you in the middle of a dance floor and then get upset that no one wants to play, then you stick your nose in the air and say how petty society is.
I think most adults would be on your side and empathize with you but that isn't here at this point in time. It'll pass. These are dark times for the lounge.
How can one be so affected by those who say nothing?
