And then you will have your reverse reverb effect but your sample will now also be backward which is why the original method posted (which is a fine way to do it) is how to do it.

What about using track freeze to speed things up instead of rendering or recording to another track?

- Reverse sample
- Apply reverb on reversed sample
- Freeze track
- Get the generated WAV file from your projects recording and place back into project on new track
- Reverse sample again
- Mute original track and keep if you need to make a change.

That's a long process. Just drowning it to taste and resampling then reverse that sample is quicker. To me at least.
