Max for Live device build request, willing to pay!!!

Hello,

Looking for someone who knows max for live coding that can build a device for me.

Basic Features:

Alter the functionality of the waveform window on audio tracks to emulate old cool edit software (to create soundscapes like Four Tet)

Allows to be able to click and drag to instantly change loop region, direction of drag controls loop direction (dragging left to right plays forward, and dragging right to left plays in reverse)

Right click returns to original loop region.

Some way to lock selecting and playing a clip in session mode to opening the bottom window in the waveform viewer. Reselecting a clip that's already playing will simply open the waveform window.


Advanced Features:

Enableable to switch between clips and keep region selected (could be a tall order)



Is anyone interested? Is a device with this kind of functionality even possible? Is there another way to go about this?

Hey Andrew,

All of this sounds pretty possible. A few things...
You can't really alter the behavior of the waveform view from M4L, you'd have to build an alternate waveform view. Which would lack the warping power of Live.
The advanced feature would be a tall order , not out of the question though.
The other way to go about it would be to write a plugin, which seems like a much tougher thing to do.
