Creating an album

Just hoping to get some help if poss...

So purely for the fun of it I want to make an album. I've made a bunch of house tunes as separate projects that are exported to WAV and I currently mix together using Traktor DJ.

What I want to do is make an album with them using Ableton that can go on CD's etc. Am I right in thinking the way (or at least a possible way) to do this is to have 2 audio tracks on Ableton, with EQ's and Effects on each, arrange each tune across the Audio Tracks in Session view (so that they start where the mix would start if DJing)and then use automation of the EQ's Volume and Crossfader to essentially draw the mixes onto the session.

I would then automate the tempo up during the tracks of the album / overall session to speed up a bit as it goes, then export the full thing as a finished album?

Is this a workable idea or is there a more standard way of achieving what I want?

Also is there a way to then add track markers so the overall mix can be listened to as individual tunes - just like a mix CD? eg. export the whole session then cut it up and export each section again.

Hope this makes sense? Just want to make sure I'm working in the right direction!

i would produce each track in its own project
rekkord each
and them give them all to mastering

if you need to mix them after that, just mix the masterd stuff like
a Dj do it all the time..

well you seem to be on the right track for what you want for an outcome. If I understand properly you need to "mix" your tracks one into another like a dj performance so it flows one into the other? you can could do as you said, export the whole thing to a stereo track, then import that back in to chop it up into different songs

Thanks for the replies. Yep basically a dj performance but that i can piece together without having to play the whole album through at once on Traktor. So in the end its a dj set but that i can add a few embellishments to as i go. Nice one, on the right track then. Just wanted to make sure there wasnt another way of doing it that i was missing.
