Can PXT let me do this?
Can PXT let me do this?
When I working within arrangement view, sometimes I'd like to record some extra notes within an existing midi clip. I prefer to record these in live using Push, just like how I would within Session view.
However, when I select that clip and hit record, it creates a new clip within Session view rather than letting me record and add new notes to the existing, selected clip within Arrangement.
Same with Drum Racks, I'd love it if I could use DR within Arrangement in the same way it works within Session.
Can anyone shed any light on this please?
Thanks

I should add that I do not own PXT so these are questions that may help me make the decision to buy it.
TBH, I have a nice workflow using the default Push settings and the idea of having loads of multiple functions added that do not correspond to the actual button labels does not appeal to me, but there are some features which could make it a very valuable purchase

Re: Can PXT let me do this?
you just have to activate the midi overdub button + the record button of the track to record midi over midi

And this works while in Arrangement view?Timbeaux wrote:you just have to activate the midi overdub button + the record button of the track to record midi over midi
Re: Can PXT let me do this?
yes, but you should not press play or record on push. just try to push it on the screen with your mouse or hit spacebar
