I loved the playgroud videos. I never would have thought to play around with the settings like that. The sounds he gets are amazing.stkr wrote:Hey ansolas, thanks for your comments.
The very cool Josh Spoon just did a fantastic run through of the devices which demonstrate the different sonic capabilities very well, you can see them here:

I love dubmnachines, specially magnetic. I am running it in an i5 760 and I can get quiete some instances a long heavy cpu synths (diva).

This all depends highly on which buffersize you have, try at <7ms latency, there it gets interestinglogin wrote:I love dubmnachines, specially magnetic. I am running it in an i5 760 and I can get quiete some instances a long heavy cpu synths (diva).

I am using low buffer settings.ansolas wrote:This all depends highly on which buffersize you have, try at <7ms latency, there it gets interestinglogin wrote:I love dubmnachines, specially y. I am running it in an i5 760 and I can get quiete some instances a long heavy cpu synths (diva).

Cool, me too here just a quick 'synthetic' stress test with > 40 Channel which each one Magnetic on it.login wrote:I am using low buffer settings.ansolas wrote:This all depends highly on which buffersize you have, try at <7ms latency, there it gets interestinglogin wrote:I love dubmnachines, specially y. I have set the latency to the first buffer-size which produce clean sound with the Test Tone. (around 89% CPU usage)

Anyways , under some circumstances i get dropouts even at less CPU load.
But it ok for me.
Re: DUB MACHINES, Anyone?
Hi All.
We have released an update to Dub Machines - version 1.1
It is a free update for all registered users. To get it, simply download the pack again from your Ableton account and install as normal over the top of your original Dub Machines installation.
This will not affect any sets or presets you have made with Dub Machines previously.
This release has been heavily tested by many users on multiple different systems, and should address the issues people have mentioned in this thread.
New features:
- Better dynamic CPU handling
- Faster device load times, including if many instances are present in a set
- New beat synchronisation for Repeat (delay time) dials in both Magnetic and Diffuse
- Wow & Flutter and Noise refactored for better authenticity
- Smoother modulations
- Better gain staging for extreme overdriven use
+
- Many Bug Fixes covering stability, saving, undo/redo, CPU spikes, etc
NOTE: Dub Machines update 1.1 requires at least Live 9.1.2 and Max For Live based on Max 6.1.8 in order to operate correctly and take full advantage of the new features. We highly recommend the forthcoming Live 9.1.6 or later and Max 6.1.9 or later when they are released.
An updated manual is at the usual manual address http://www.surrealmachines.com/support/dubmachines.html, where you can also find a more detailed changelog.
Let us know if you have any problems or ideas: [email protected].
And watch this space for more Surreal Machines projects coming your way soon!...
Thanks!
Matt & Pete @ Surreal Machines.

thank you..

Re: DUB MACHINES, Anyone?
Cool! Will check it out later!
Re: DUB MACHINES, Anyone?
I downloaded the pack and reinstalled. How do I know which version I have? It seems version information is not available, at least not in all the places I just looked. Curious.

Koranek, an easy way to be sure that you're now using the latest version is to check if there's a little button near the time knob. This button allows use to switch between ms and sync time selection.
