Yeah we had that, it was called Kore.

I like the LEDs integrated into the keys on this system.
I'm wondering if any other plug in besides NI ones can save the colors in their patches though?

Pretty expensive keyboards.And isn't Komplete pretty good integrated with Maschine anyway ? As in, if you have Maschine (hardware) why should you need any of these keyboards ( gine you already own a keyboard controller) ?

I don't remember if I posted it here, but I had a dream a while ago where the keys on my MIDI keyboard lit up to indicate the key zones in Kontakt - I guess that dream is coming true.

Still; that's not enough to make me want this keyboard; not by a long shot.

I'm not feeling it. Not at all. Of course I've not used it but it's definitely not something that has my G.A.S. kicking in.
I use Live and Push and Komplete with Maschine. Komplete with Machine and a midi keyboard, especially a small one like the qunexus is an amazing set up. I love it.

I have zero interest in ANOTHER fucking MIDI keyboard. Especially for that price. Shit, few more dollars and I'm going for !aschine Studio. I love the integration of Maschine and Komplete.

I'm still relatively new to Native Instruments Maschine, but I have to say that I really saw something like this coming, especially once I saw how well Maschine's software integrates with Komplete Ultimate. I'm really interested in seeing the software they'll use with this new controller. Will it be a slightly modified version of Maschine's software? Will it be a completely new software sequencer? Will this new software have audio tracks?

Can't wait to see what NI has in store for this.

No exactly the opposite.
Why have another cumbersome sequencer?!
Just make all Kontakt instruments hook into the keyboards so that browsing the presets and access to the 8 performance macros is possible. Add to all of them the scale feature and a nice Arp that you can tune from the hardware. And no further bloat is neccessary.

I for instance ditched the Maschine software, because Live is the better sequencer and as nice as all the browsing and chopping was, there was always this difficult layer between the controller and my DAW. So I went all Live, but repurposed the Maschine controller to my DrumRacks.

Hands up, who here really yearns for yet another sequencer, and who would just like the keybord to tie into their Kontakt vsts on each track without hassle?!

They should have called it Maschine Keys, and given it the Maschine Studio displays,
Plus Maschine software. That way they could continue to support, develop and enhance one specific software instead of a multitude. And it'd turn it into one Hell of a sampler.

But I mean. I know that NI is all about exclusive hardware/software matches to rake in the $$$.

Those will most likely come after Komplete is released. Why would they give away all that these companies are in the business of making money,we will most likely pay for those upgrades,from the ads that I saw on the net the bundles and I hope those prices are wrong the upgrade to Komplete Ultimate and The 49 keyboard is more than $1300 and that's the bundle if I decide to upgrade that I want but the price is not cool at all.

I love that NI keep releasing new, interesting products for Reaktor like Molekular a while back, now 2 new synths (Rounds and Kontour) plus a twisted tools drum machine for it, and STILL people show up in threads like this crowing 'WAAA I'M SO DISAPPOINT, WHERE IS REAKTOR 6???' I wonder if they could even mention 1 thing they'd actually like to see in Reaktor 6. I doubt it. Meanwhile great new stuff gets made for Reaktor every day...same could be said for Kontakt. It's like some kind of "full number updates" tunnel vision in terms of their G.A.S, where they don't even know what they want, but just that it better be NEW.

For one a higher level assembly function. Something like what AAS does with Tassman.
Backwards compatibility. Seriously.
My only real complaint about NI is that Absynth 5 is not seen as Absynth 2. Reaktor loses Ensembles if you don't instal the version that you were working on the song with etc. Sure it's possible a patch/ensemble doesn't sound the same because of the tweaks in an upgrade, but far better that than having to petition NI for a version of Absynth 2 to save a song that used it. As far as Kontakt is concerned it's inboard FX are skunked by MachFive, and from what I hear Halion, same with it's Pitch/Time algorithms. <-those are areas I expect to see improved in Kontakt 6.

Another universal thing: NI need to stop fucking around and permanently decide where they want things to instal on your computer.
I I have Komplete 6 and 9 installed here and it's a mess.

While I'm picking NI apart here, for the admittedly tiny crowd left with Kore hardware it would be nice if the 8 knobs could be mapped to this new system. I seriously doubt that will happen, but the audio card in the Kore 1 controller here is just fine, and it would be great if NI threw a bone to legacy users.

The performance features (scales, chord, arp) doesnt work with third party instruments, only inside komplete.

The cdm review is quite honest and overall quite dissapointing. Push is way better deal for the price.

My biggest beef with K10 is that the only thing that counts if I want to upgrade to K10 Ultimate is that I own Komplete 8 (standard). The fact that I've bought a boatload of the libraries included in K10U separately has no impact at all. Also: how many pianos does one need anyway?

Still, I'm pretty determined to go Ultimate this time around.

I’m curious to see what the pricing will be for upgrades. I’m sure many like myself at this point have Komplete or Komplete Ultimate and go for the stupid cheap Christmas 50% off discount that NI might feel they are losing too much money on at this point if too many people are jumping on it.

Also Ultimate previously had everything currently available, including Heavyocity libraries. No mention of the Heavyocity libraries that came out in the last year for Ultimate? Another money loser for NI/Heavyocity?
