lives warp engine in 9.1.5 issue?
Every song I drag into an audio track will have a segment BPM of 120 regardless of actual tempo. Live's segment BPM is supposed to be a guess of the tempo of the original file, so.... it shouldn't be guessing 120bpm for everything. I just noticed this... My Live automatically updates so is this maybe a bug of 9.1.5?
Re: lives warp engine in 9.1.5 issue?
is your master tempo in Live 120? (the default number it will start up with after install)
Re: lives warp engine in 9.1.5 issue?
my master tempo was at 120 as is by default. Regardless of master tempo live is guessing (Segment BPM) that every song is 120BPM. It always use to guess the BPM now it never does...
Re: lives warp engine in 9.1.5 issue?
When I drag a mp3 into Live, with my master tempo at 120 and turn on warping for the mp3 - the Segment BPM is 120 until I begin warping, after which point it changes and gets closer & closer to the actual tempo the more precise I warp.gorskkr wrote:my master tempo was at 120 as is by default. Are you saying that before you would drag a mp3 into Live, it would automatically do the warping & guess the bpm for you? If that's the case, make sure you have "Auto Warp Long Samples" checked ON in preferences. It's typically really inaccurate at finding the first downbeat/starting point though, so many users turn off this feature and do the warping manually to ensure a quality job.
Re: lives warp engine in 9.1.5 issue?
I have auto warp turned off in preferences.

Cool, but are you saying that before you would drag a mp3 into Live, it would automatically do the warping & guess the bpm for you?
If the answer to that question is "YES"
Turn ON Auto Warping
If the answer to that question is "YES"
Turn ON Auto Warping
