What good would crying in the Lounge do us or the people who suffer from this disease?!
this.
but since all of us are capable of discussion... and to elaborate more on...

no. i think it's quite serious. unfortunately, it's also a huge fucking excuse now.
media outlets in the United States (i'm glaring at you FOX) have a tendency to peddle fear. so do many politicians. Ebola is a new [convenient] excuse to close our borders... since calling people "beaners" or "wetbacks" isn't politically correct and the "they're taking our jobs" stance doesn't work (largely in part because hardly anyone wants the jobs that are being "taken" in the first place) the disease is useful to over shadow the underlying racist views of the loudest of the immigrant demeaning hypocrites who love to take pride this country while undermining it's core tenets. so now, "they're gonna contaminate us" will do nicely. constituents are allowed to be publicly racist while politicians can't get away with it.
the parallel i was attempting to illustrate is the way AIDS was a useful tool in perpetuating homophobia back in the 80's and 90's.
what's even more convenient is that it can be blamed on "those negros*" from Africa. meanwhile, the complete ignorance of Muslims and actual Islam versus the hatemonger version grows and grows until the only thing missing from a significant portion of the population is their white pointy hats with the eye holes and matching robes. the irony of which does not escape me... two sides to the same angry/racist coin. so we have a perfect shit storm racist breeding ground.
