iconnectmidi2 & audio pass through

Post by su » Mon Sep 02, 2013 6:46 pm

Lookin for a hand from others who are using the iconnectmidi2

I've been able to get audio from an ipad to Live through the iconnectmidi2. However, I'm not able to monitor the audio. In addition, audio from my audio card (M Audio Delta 66) is not "automatically aggregated" like the manual says. When I activate the Delta 66 in the asio4all interface, the DAW stops recognizing audio coming in on the iconnectmidi2 channel. Turn off the Delta 66, audio from iconnectmidi2 starts flowing again.

I'm hoping others have had better luck. :-)

[edit] I'm running windows 7

have you tried M-Audio's proper ASIO driver for the Delta 66, rather than ASIO4ALL?

Audio passthru (TM) on the iconnectmidi2 *only* works with asio4all by design. Because Live allows only one audio device at a time, that means you're forced to use asio4all when using the iconnectmidi2 to pass audio from an ipad/iphone to a computer. On Macs, it seems like this is less of a problem as you're able to create "merged" audio devices. On Windows, the iconnectmidi2 devs claim you can use 2 audio devices simultaneously, but that's not happening here. When I activate the Delta 66 in the asio4all panel, the asio4all connection with the iconnectmidi2 stops recognizing audio.

It's working for me with a Presonus Firestudio Mobile.

In the ASIO4All configuration, I've enabled the iConnectMIDI2+ input and disabled its output, and enabled the Presonus output and disabled its input.

My problem is that the 30-pin plug is loose and I keep losing communication in the middle of recording.
