Speaking of being impressed by the MOVE women’s testimony deflecting questions and trying to change the narrative.
starving student wrote:trust me if not tomorrow then the day after tomorrow some kid will be shoppin at the local wal-mart picking up stuff off the shelf pretending he's gonna buy it all the while talking on is celly phony about hoes and jay-z and maybe how big beyonce's buttocks is while he secretly plans to make off with the good walmarts goods and products without paying for them to take back to his young wife and child. and luckily a good samaritan will see through the charlatans act and call the law to come exterminate the little pest… now I guarantee you after that happens there will be a liberal uproar in the force, and I bet you two twinkles, a bowl of fried chicken noodle soup, and a tall glass of koo-L-aid that all over the news they'll be sayin there they go again, law enforcement outta control, picking on the disenfranchised again… you watch and see if they don't. Just like you said they need to get over that nonsense and while you're at it go get a proper id dammit, just because you could vote last year with a phone bill, student id, or military id don't mean nuthin this year, go get a proper id like a NRA id ya bunch of chumps and quit complaining about having to drive 3 hours away from where the voting place used to be that's just lazy...

I have no idea what point is being made there but I'm sure there is one.

The point I got was that if you look like a punk you're going to get treated like one which is valid, and if the evidence points to the punk instigating trouble and he gets shot for it, then it is what is.

I'm just wondering what the difference is between cops being dicks now VA then or if it's just the media reporting it more to rile people up.

I read a recent article on how well a Canadian news anchor reported on the recent shootings. He just reported the facts as they came in, reminded viewers things are tense and fluid and information could change, and didn’t attempt to fill in dead air with personal speculation. Basically the polar opposite of US news. All the US news networks feel they need to one up the others for ratings by reporting something the others didn’t, even if it’s just a rumor or completely made up. They put it out there as fact and the damage is done and it always leans towards their viewership’s political affiliation.

We don’t have real news here. All we have is tabloid reporting that we want to agree with.

I've been happy with Al_Jazeera America (AJAM), at least with the little bits I've seen. It appears to be along the lines of actual news reporting/journalism.

As a matter of fact I wanted to post a link to this video of Sue Turton reading a letter from a journalist that's been in an Egyptian prison for almost a year. He comments about today's news, calling the 'War on Terror' 'atrociously named'.
When I saw it live I was hoping it would be on yt and when it appeared a couple days later, it coincidentally was not available to view in the US, so I found a proxy site to view the vid.
Might put it on my own channel, actually.

It might be easy to wander off at times but it's worth paying attention to imo:
I was going to copy the link from my twitter but it looks like the tweet is gone, wow.

I uploaded it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QB7BkAH ... e=youtu.be

Otherwise:

Try this: http://budweis.proxylistpro.com/page.ph ... TwyHFFc%3D

otherwise paste this link to that proxy site and pick a country, then it should work: http://t.co/UFyqs8mraP

You guys are not seriously surprised that your media is all lies, are you?!
In fact, while the BBC and Al Jazeera may appear less biased (which is not hard to do) they too are just the moutpieces of very powerful and totaly corrupt organizations.

(The British government and Quatar respectively)

An no, I'm not saying that the German media is any better. They all just lie to us in the way best suited to the audiences they address.

They don't exist to inform, but to dull the people, muddy the waters, distract and in general play a theater piece called Democracy.

But my friends, go ahead and call me a negative nancy again, who's falling for conspiracy theories. It doesn't make a difference anyways. Resistance is futile... :(

Oh, no, I had no idea, thank you for enlightening me. None of us have said any of that for the past few years.

I suppose you're smart enough to have figured out that Santa Claus doesn't exist, either? I just figured that one out yesterday.

You're miles ahead of everyone else.

Excuse me if I seem a little off base; it will take some time for me to readjust now that my world has been shattered.

In fact you didn't. Instead you talk down the danger every time it comes up and act smug towards me (see above). But I get it, you are one of these people, who have nothing to hide

Um, I don't. What should I be hiding? And to totally bury my head in the sand when it comes to news is just as ignorant. If you're an experienced level-headed adult with a clue then you're able to make some sort of sound judgement with what you're given and able to make some sort of assessment with that information. Obviously take everything with a grain of salt, but sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

If I respond to you in a negative manner it's because I'm disappointed that you choose to think like a bitter and scared old spinster.

'Oh, my dreams are shattered; I can't move on; we're all doomed; life is pain and suffering'

This is true, but it shouldn't be followed by a sad face. It's a good thing!

It's especially good when you wake from your slumber of believing you are one of the "enlightened ones" and realize that there is no "they" in this situation. That, in fact, what you are trying to (futilely) resist is yourself.

There is no great "they" hiding I the shadow, only a pathetic "we" clamoring for existential relevance.

We are all the problem.

And we will be our own solution. Believe that.

Disappointed in someone you don't know?! That's new

Anyways, if all the people like you "who have nothing to hide" and for that reason don't care enough about their governments turning outright fascist right under their nose, to lift their lazy butts from the couch, would stop being cowards and rise up, then I wouldn't need to be a bitter and scared old spinster, as you so aptly put it.

But as long as every demonstration I go to is only a handful of people (who in general are not even smart enough to leave their smart phones at home  ), the game is over.

I see no indication whatsoever, that I should have any reason for hope.

So here we are....
