Re: Push working with Logic Pro X
Its a generic midi controller, so yes
Will it have drum sequencing and the in-scale layout, no, just like any other daw you use push with. You could see if you can get into the pxt-general beta test though, as that adds in-scale layout and some other features when using push as a midi controller in other hosts

To answer my on question, as well as to backup what Ezelkow1 had stated. I purchased Logic Pro X this morning. The Push Controller worked fine on numerous software instrument tracks. The only thing I had to do was turn the latency down a bit. The funny thing is, I never went into any setting to set Push up as my midi controller. LPX had setup my Saffire Pro 24 as my interface as well, without having to go into the preference menu. So their you have it.
Here's a quick video I put together, Logic Pro X, & Push working together.

This is not true. You get sound but there is no musical order at all of the notes when you play the pads.MixxWizard69 wrote:To answer my on question, as well as to backup what Ezelkow1 had stated. You don't have drum mode and it's sequencing. Probably acquiring PXT but not sure to what extent? It would be great to be able to use Push in Live as well as Logic, but it's not happening over here. Any info welcome!

Re: Push working with Logic Pro X
Why are notes also being triggered when you tweak a Knob on Push ?!
Re: Push working with Logic Pro X
Check your user settings on push. It's possible you have them set to low/high which can cause the pads to be over sensitive… Just a guess?

I even get a note playing when using the pitch bend ribbon
Re: Push working with Logic Pro X
I wonder if you coul create an environment to make scales work huh?
Re: Push working with Logic Pro X
I'm using Push with Logic using PXT-General, and the different scales work fine.
You have to tweak the environment, because Logic "hears" the midi signal from both Push and PXT, and you get 2 notes - the scale note from PXT and the "raw" note from Push. The solution is to route the Push user port to a midi monitor that is not connected to anything, and so doesn't trigger any sounds.

The knobs always send note when you touch them. It is how Live recognizes that you are touching a knob.
I've pondered making a 'strummable' instrument based on the knobs before (kind of like the Chordion iOS app) but it turned out to be kind of silly haha

Re: Push working with Logic Pro X
Is it possible to control Logic's Plugins and Tracks as it is possible with Push under Live or are all knobs fixed mapped to a specific track / plugin ?

Does Touch recording automation work ?
Re: Push working with Logic Pro X
Hello,
Has anyone developed a Push template for LPX since ?

How did you go about doling this "route the Push user port to a midi monitor that is not connected to anything, and so doesn't trigger any sounds"?timball72 wrote:I'm using Push with Logic using PXT-General, and the different scales work fine.

It would very helpful as I'm trying to stop Push 2 being triggered in Logic X as well as Live - Many thanks!
Re: Push working with Logic Pro X
1. Click a knob in a plugin you want to control, push "Command + L" on your keyboard to learn and tweak the knob on your push, it will automatically pick this mapping up.
2. Turn of "Learn Mode"
3. Under "Touch/Release" within "Controller Assignments", put in these values corresponding to the knob you've just assigned to essentially cancel out the incoming note message that occurs when you first touch the knob.
Here are the values for the knobs numbered from left to right:
1. 90 0A 7F
2. 90 09 7F
3. 90 00 7F
4. 90 01 7F
5. 90 02 7F
6. 90 03 7F
7. 90 04 7F
8. 90 05 7F
9. 90 06 7F
10. 90 07 7F
11. 90 08 7F
*edit* just realized this thread is quite old but I thought I'd post for anyone else who ran into the same problem.
