techno choon with dubbya sample

Post by forge » Mon Aug 22, 2005 12:59 pm

This sample - a rearrangement of Dubbyas state of the union after 9/11 which I found on Limewire just by keying in "George W. Bush speeches" someone out there edited this brilliantly, while a little harsh, but I found it too good to ignore.

Apologies to any americans who may be offended, but the irony of having Dubbya say "kill all americans" should speak for itself, it's the Irony I wish to convey, not the sentiment.

yeah I saw the Bill Bailey thing, I've got the part troll DVD but I didnt think it was on there(?) havent watched it in a while - he's brilliant

something weird in my track is there's a totally unrelated sample - dont even know what it is but it sounds like it's saying "stop this fucking war" in an Australian accent. Doublely weird considering I'm Australian - and I didnt put it in intentionally...

Can we PLEEEAAASE give the political BS a rest?!?!

By the way, putting crap like that in your tracks is hella lame. IMHO anyway.

Also, not looking to start a politial discussion, just remember, not every musician is a Bush hating liberal type. ;)

Hay Adam,

definitely, feel free!

pleased you like it - I actually did it a while ago and almost forgot about it - seems I keep doing that, but it makes for a nice surprise 6 months down the line

Hows about you quit bitching?

This is even a music-related post, and you have to complain.

Some of the best electronic music Ive heard in the last 4 years is the chopped bush track on thesmokehammer.

So if you dont like it, why dont you take your uppiddy smart ass, and sign up?

no, agent47 is absolutely right, there's no room for politics in music.

I'm also beginning to feel the best course of action for the 21st century man is to take off all our clothes, bury our heads deep in the sand and just let "the man" roger us up the date. THAT'S HOW THINGS GET DONE THESE DAYS AND WHO ARE WE TO CHALLENGE IT!
