It's necessary to smooth export of separate tracks and smooth fade-in and fade-out.

Hi! My friend LISA gave me details in English translation. :D

?.+:?????:+.?Y?Y?Y?.+:?????:+.?Y?Y?Y?.+:?????:+.?
Dear developing team, I really appreciate if you will consider improving Lives.

Why the Utility Gain should be -inf

The following stories assumes that I export tracks individually.
If I can make Utility -inf, I would be able to spend short time to copy and paste fade-curve with modules.

With the object of smoothing volume control, I cannot find the advantage to make utility to -35db in the first place.

For instance, it is anguish that to write same fade-our-curve to each of all the 50 track.
If timing or wav changed, I will have to modify the all 50 tracks fade-out-curve again...
Make them to group and write the fade-out-curve on there, it does not reflect to each track, moreover, I feel upset because I cannot copy and paste the track-fader.

Why I do not write curve on track-fader is that it is the easiest to control when I change last-volume-control. It is just ergonomically easy, just easy, so I do not want to write automations on there.
I just want to leave the track-fader because there is the only place to rise and down with selecting all track and each volume control for making the master not crack.

My suggestion That's all! Thanks :D

BonnoumaruJPN: As a workaround, here is what you can do.

Drag in an empty Audio Effect Rack to the end of your device chain.
Click the Show/Hide Chain List button to unfold the chain list.
Right Click in the area where it says "Drop Audio Effects Here" and select the option Create Chain.
Now do you see the chain volume? The Chain volume will be at 0db.
Now you can simply automate this chain volume. It goes down to -inf. You can also copy and paste this automation data to separate tracks!

Finally, what I have done is Macro Mapped the chain volume and chain pan control just to make it tidier, and then saved the rack to my library, so I can just drop it in whenever I need to automate volume.

Like so:

Then of course you can hide the chain list again to tidy it further; I left it open here to illustrate.

Thanks to the person who posted this idea on this forum originally, I am sorry I forgot who.

Been doing that rack thing for years. ^^
It would be nice to have -inf on the Utility, yes.

Senseless. Utility is a tool to match volumes without affecting the Mixer Volume Fader. So you can automate your mixer Fader more precise (the area around 0dB).
its an tool for Stereo separation, DC Offset and to bring the level of a track or a group down or up that this track matches to the others.
if you dont know what im talking about you have to learn how to mix with any DAW.

For example:
Most Mixing consoles have a input Gain on each channel that controls the input volume of the track. So you dont have to use your fader to bring the level up or down. Utility does the same in Ableton.

Use the mixer or an audio effect rack to -inf the track.

Load what faster? What shall happen when you double-click? What are you double-clicking on?

I still don't understand what you want to do. You want to use an additional way to fade in and out when exporting? And this differently on different tracks? Or the same?

If the same, automating the master volume doesn't work for you? Or is it simply because you don't want to control levels with volume automation at all?

I usually fade out different parts differently and I do dislike the editing of automation. But I don't see what will improve with your suggestion.

That's what you want to happen and not what you want to do once it reaches -inf. If it does what will you be able to do that you can't do today?

Have you considered a third party trim plug-in that goes to -inf right now? Also have you directed your request/wish directly to Ableton? If not yet, do that now. I know ideas, suggestions and requests sometimes are picked up here too, but I wouldn't count on that.
