I bought a midi controller with customisable CC knobs. That knob cannot send MIDI message so I cannot learn it in Ableton. I try to find out which CC is what in Ableton but to my surprise Google cannot get me what I want.
I even looked in Ableton's official manual and expecting to find some kind of comprehensive CC table but no, they didn't include that. So can anyone point me to complete list of Ableton's CC message? For starter I wanted to know CC for that 8 macros of devices that is currently having "blue hand" icon on it.
Cannot find Ableton's CC message list anywhere on the net

Which controller have you bought there?
Make a screenshot of your preference page for Midi/Sync, load it up onto an imagehoster and post us the link.

- When you see the blue hand, you must have configured at least some controller as a Control Surface. In Live's help view there's a list of built in lessons with the configurations of the predefined Control Surfaces. You can find that in the Hardware Configuration section when you follow the link to the list of all built in lessons.
- You can not manually assign signals from a controller that is set up as a Control Surface.
- To use a device as a remote control (Control Surface or not) its Input in the list of Midi Ports on the Midi/Sync preference page must be activated for Remote.
- A CC is a midi message (but not a note).
- Live has no CC table.

The blue "automap" hand corresponds to CCs 1-8 on channel 1 by default, I think. I set my BCR2k knobs to use them, although it may just be the BCR control script that specifies that mapping on the Live side. Sorry for the ambiguity.
You may be able to specify which CCs do what with a custom control script. I've never messed with them but I know they exist.

Now that you recognize that there is a 'blue hand' method. There are three options that I've played with before. Possibly a fourth that I have not tried.
1. There is what is called a "user remote script". This is a small txt file that Ableton has in your directories which allows you to make a simple customized controller script. It lets you do volumes of the first 8 channels, blue hand, and automatic drum rack assignment.
2. STC or "Selected Track Control". This is probably your best option. It is a complex script that a user made which several ways you could use it. And, lucky for you, it has a full list of cc's. And a full list of ways to implement them. There is a post on here for it, and the person that made the script and website for it is extremely friendly, and understands that people customize things to their own needs.
3. Sometimes if you are lucky you can use a simple premade control surface preset in preferences, and then look it up online to see what CC's people use for it. But it is not entirely the most effective method. You'd have best luck with the most basic controllers on the list, like an MPD instead of APC. Or if you know a controller on the list that looks like yours you MIGHT be able to ask people on the forum what CC's it uses to use that mode.

Sargon, your message is unclear. If it does not send midi, what does it do?
what brand and model is it?
A list of midi codes more generally is here http://tweakheadz.com/midi-controllers/
STC might be a good bet.
