Some clubby sounds

Post by sAy-music » Thu Nov 13, 2014 6:43 pm

Hey, I'm preparing a big set, made of brand new musics going from chill to minimal, to deep house and also clubby sounds.

Here is one of the musics, enjoy!

The mix is a bit hot. It seems like you are trying to get all of the sounds, bass, lead, chords, etc. all to occupy the same upper frequency range. Try giving things a hierarchy and letting some elements fall "back" in the mix so that the leads and things can stand out a bit more. Also I think the washy white noise is a bit loud, it would probably be overbearing on a bigger system. Also the kick feels a little weak.

The music sounds good, but I think the mix could use a little love!

This is exactly what I realized when I listened to the track after a few days without listening to it (the "nose to the grindstone effect").
I am working on a new mix to correct it all.
