Korg Legacy Woes
Hi everyone,
I'm posting this in the hope that maybe someone has experienced or heard of something similar and so may be in a position to offer some help/advice.
For some unknown reason the Legacy Cell component that comes as part of the Korg Legacy Collection will not show up within Live.
All the other components, the MS20, Polysix, Mono-Poly, and MDE-X work fine and show up in the browser. However, the Legacy Cell doesnt show up in the Plug-In list within Live, and therefore to my frustration I cant use it. It works in stand-alone mode just fine.
I have tried installing/un-installing/re-installing, re-scanning within Live, but no joy. When I have tried re-scanning my plug-in folder within Live it seems to identify the Legacy Cell as it pauses and it displays 'Legacy Cell' within the scan window, then carries on with the scan but it never shows up in the Plug-In list.
I cant think what it could be and it's driving me up the wall!
If anyone can throw any light on the subject I'd be really grateful.
I'm running the latest version of Live 8 from the downloads section of the website and it's a PC running Windows 7.
Thanks,
K

Hey man,
had the same problem after installing KLC 1.2.4 since I updated my desktop-pc to Win 7 64bit three weeks ago, Legacy Cell just didn´t show up.
So I tried KLC 1.2.3. (which is the older installer installing all plug-ins at the the same time and not separate)
and voilà everything shows up & works fine.

Re: Korg Legacy Woes
Ive got KLC and running on 64bit with latest Live 8 and haven't had any problems.
I got this new laptop a few months back so have only recently installed everything.
Admitedly the installer I used was very old from when I originally got it I think.
The VST I have problems with it Predator.
It shows up in the VST list but when I drag it into a channel to use it then click the spanner to launch the window for Predator, it pops up a window about 25pixels x 25 pixels and blank!
The strange thing is that Predator is still usable and you can change presets from the dropdown in the vst window in bottom bar. But I dont have access to parameters (expanding out vst window).
VERY strange.

Re: Korg Legacy Woes
HI, I have just bought the Korg Legacy Collection and installed the standalone versions successfully.
However, the VST versions are not showing up in Live. There was no option to direct the VSTs to any specific folder. This seems odd.
They do show up in the Programs / Korg / Legacy folder but nowhere else.
Any suggestions?
I tried copying the dlls to Live VST64 folder (my vst default folder) but did no copy a few of them
OR
Should I perhaps copy a shortcut link to that folder (pointing to the Korg Legacy folder)?
(Not at my PC now to try the latter).

Re: Korg Legacy Woes
The path does show up in the set up dialog seems you missed it. Seeing as live can only watch one vst folder you have to just search for the dlls probably in the root/Vst
Re: Korg Legacy Woes
Thanks, amazing I missed the VST folder option when installing so many times. Will take a careful look.
