M4L LFO devices won't map to parameters or list targets

Post by Autcrock » Sun Dec 14, 2014 2:13 am

Hi all.

Windows 7 64 bits Asus A53E laptop with i5, 4 Gig RAM, 45 Gigs free on disk, 32 bits Live 9.1.6, 32 bits M4L.

Between 3 and 20% CPU usage on several different small projects with different non-intersecting instruments/effects set ups.

I have no problems with other M4L effects or instruments I've tried.

However, I cannot get the Max audio effect LFO, LFO 2.0.5 or Max Api Ctrl1LFO to map to any effect parameter or button. Nor does the List button work - it blinks once and then nothing happens. I tried with the laptop's inbuilt mousepad and buttons, and a USB mouse.

Anyone else seen this?

Cheers

Mike.

LFO audio device works here as expected. First I'd make sure you're on the latest M4L version (6.1.9, M4L is not updated when you update Live). Then I'd make sure you got the latest version of the Max For Live Essentials pack installed, which includes the LFO device (https://www.ableton.com/de/packs/max-live-essentials/).
Live 9.5 (64bit), Max 7.0.6, Windows 10, Push 2, Korg electribe2, Bass Station II, Launch Control XL, Faderfox DJ3

Thanks for replying.

Yes - 6.1.9 Max and latest packs, recent upgrade to Suite from Standard.

An additional datum from tonight's messing around is that Live 9.1.7 beta 3 works fine. At the moment it and 9.1.6 both are sharing the same library. In fact I've got six instances of LFO and LFO 2.0.5 running simultaneously at the moment in the project I'm working on.

Cheers

Mike.
