Re: iPad
DON'T TELL ME THAT WOULDN'T BE SUPER CONVENIENT YOU BASTARDS. YOU'VE GOT A BUNCH OF SHIT OPEN AND A NICE LITTLE EJECT BUTTON THAT YOU MOUSE OVER AND THEN SELECT WHAT DRIVE TO EJECT. Steko rightly pointed out you can add this easily as part of the OS = for the CD/DVD player only.

I mostly use cmd-E...Due to the Mac App Store’s sandboxing requirements, the Mac App Store version doesn’t have all of the same features as the direct version, so I recommend purchasing directly.

Re: iPad
As I say, in the grand scheme of things, the process is a minor hassle. But I unmount (or forget to unmount) those two volumes frequently enough that the hassle turns into a headache. I’d like a quicker, easier way to unmount external volumes without giving OS X fits.
FUCKING RIGHT YOU'D LIKE A QUICKER, EASIER WAY.

I mean, Windows has had a simple eject icon in the system tray since TIME IMMEMORIAL. FFS. Fucking douchebags over at Apple - spending needless amounts of time debating the pros and cons of removing icon shadows whilst basic FUNCTIONAL shit still goes unexamined.

They’ve examined it and determined iCloud doesn’t need an eject button. And anything that previously might have a required an eject is now better serviced by iCloud.
