I would say yes.

Komplete 10 gives you a much nicer Sample Library, Kontakt, Battery and overall much more powerful synths than Live Suite. You would get Massive which is a nice Wavetable synth with a cool modulation scheme. FM8 which is probably the most deepest Fm synth out. Absynth which is more unique because of its graphical envelopes and unique effects which complements some of Live suites more esoteric synths. Reaktor can be about whatever you want it to be. komplete also have Monark which is probably the most authentic minimoog emulation out, all built in Reaktor.

Reaktor is a good complement to Max4Live, and Reaktor on its own gives you nice free synths in the user Library.

I find that Battery works well with Drum Racks as well as it has much more parameters to tweak your sound than Simpler and seems more user friendly than Sampler and geared for tweaking drums.

NI also throw in some cool effects like the SSL emulations, Reflecktor.

The only question I have is if you should go with Ultimate which gives you a lot more. Mainly much more sample libraries, a lot more effects such as the Softtube emulations, and some of the more esoteric synths such as Razor. But ultimate is probably like $1000.

Both Komplete and Ultimate does give you a whole lot. Coming from a hardware perspective like 20 years ago spending that much would basically just get you an entry level synth and nothing else.

Kontakt and Reaktor are expensive, they alone costs $400, *each*, for the cost of one of those, and $100 more, you get Massive, Kontakt, FM8, Absynth, Reaktor (with a bunch of Reaktor synths as well) a boatload of sampled instruments, compressors, eq's, creative effects, Guitar Rig, and more. So, yes, I would say worth it! It is a huge bargain when you consider what acquiring a similar set of synths and effects would cost if purchased individually!

id been thinking of buying komplete for years. . eventually i became interested in machine and picked up a used mk1 + komplete8 for cheap.. . the upgrade to 10 was not bad.

after going through all (or most - its so much) of sample banks and instruments, im not sure how much ill use.. it will probably be very handy for commercial / sound design productions. and some very inspiring soft synths for sure.

i think if i had paid full price i would be a bit disappointed - just because of the amount of STUFF that im sure ill never use (10+ double sided dvds for installation!)

Most of the instruments have pretty reasonable cpu demands in my experience, Reaktor can go a bit wild, but that really depends on what you've got running inside of it.

Completely different beasts, one is a collection of emulations of analog synths, the other is a collection of synths and fx that covers a broad range of synthesis types. I don't know how you could properly compare the two. It really depends on what you want out of a software bundle! Komplete is the more versatile of the two, especially when you consider stuff like Absynth and Reaktor, lots of stuff in those two you *cannot* achieve with the Arturia synths, but the Arturia collection would be good if you are looking classic analog sounds, as they are very good emulations of those synths.
