ReWire issue with Project 5...
Seems related to the looping issue with ReWire. When I hit playback there is a serious cpu spike in Live, which results in a slight popping sound along with a short pause before playback actually begins. The same happens when stopping playback, clicking in the timeline and even when looping. The problem happens with looping when the loop restarts. This latter point is similar to the looping problem that occurs when using Reason with Live, except that with Project 5 it's even more obvious.
Any chance that you can talk to Cakewalk about this? It doesn't happen with other ReWire host. I'm also going to try reinstalling everything just to see if it makes a difference.
Thanks

I also narrowed it down. With the DXI Cyclone, it runs fine with one pad/loop in use. A second pad will not loop. Also when the Project 5 FX Modfilter is used there is a stutter every time the loop point is reached in Project 5 with one pad running. Delete the FX and it works fine again.
Given that the Reason loop problem with the missing beat is still unresolved I think it will be many months before this is sorted out!

Hi folks,
so far I could reproduce the behaviour you wrote about. Without PSYN dxi is seems to be ok but with there are problems when start or stop.
I also noticed a similiar behaviour when using Project5 standalone.
If I use a song with some PSYN dxi's there's a delay of 500 to 1000ms from pressing space until the play triangle greened up and the song starts to play. If I replaced the PSYN with a other synth (like the nPulse in my case) the song immediately starts to play when I press space.
Concerning the loop issue...
Because I'm more or less new to Project5 it would be a good help if anybody of you could send me a short Project5 song together with a short description what to do to get this loop problem.
regards,
Alex

Alex,
If you want to check out the other loop issue, then just delete every track in the Autorun song except 7 and 8, then loop it.
Just use the song Autorun.p5p in the Project5 installation folder. All you have to do is set it to loop any measure. On my system when it comes around to loop, the cpu meter in Live goes to about 450%.Concerning the loop issue...
