Set the application folder for max7

Post by hzd » Sun Jan 11, 2015 6:12 pm

Hi guys.

So I have the full max7 and I wan't to use it, as my editor for Max For Live. But I'm not able to choose the folder, where Max7 lives.

Anyone in the same place?

More detail:
I go into Preferences.
Click on "Browse" under the header Max Application.
That opens a finder window with the Max 6.1 folder open.
I then go to the Applications folder where there is a greyed out Max application.

I assume you are on MAC?

Just select the app itself ... the one installed as MAX.app directly in Applications ... no need to go deeper in the file hierarchie, unless you installed Max.app somewhere else.

Pretty sure it depends on which version of Live you are using. I think this issue was fixed in 9.1.5 or 9.1.6...

If you have Max 7 standalone then you have to have Live 9.1.6 or later installed in order to use it as your Max editor.
