clip colors conform to track header color!
clip colors conform to track header color!
EXAMPLE I set my kick track header color to red, any clip recorded in this row is also that same color. Makes organizing clips by type an easier visual reference. As is, the track names carry to the clip when recorded, but not the color (unless I'm missing something in preferences?)

I like this one. I was going to suggest it. Also, I reckon the clips titles should be see-through so you can see the waveforms or midi underneath.

This is requested for a long time, and we still need to request it...

I would, but I don't know what exactly I'm logging onto there!

I'm sure others here can vouch for the safety of that link, and that I am not a malicious forum poster. It merely points to the Ableton Beta testing site, where users like you or me post thoughts and ideas on the Beta forums, report bugs in the current Live Beta, and submit suggestions that are voted on by us. These are all considered by Ableton.

Yes, an option (in the prefs) to assign the track label's color to all recorded clips (or clips dragged in from the browser) on that track would be nice. Perhaps also a command to set the color of any clips already present in the track to the track's color.

This would be very nice. I've requested something like this before, and it would make things much easier.
Here's a simple session view mock-up I made earlier - as you can see, the colour is applied to the whole track, and there are track headers at the bottom as well, so you don't have to look up and down all the time, to know which track you're adjusting faders on.
Also, it would help to have ghost/linked/master clips, so I wouldn't have to create duplicates for every new scene.

Check J. Garcias new Max4Live for ghost clips. It´s working really well!
