I've just connected my Roland TD9X and it's working quite well. The kick and snare and some of the other pads from the kit are triggering logical sounds (eg the kick pedal trigger always triggers a kick sound from Drum Rack). However some things, like one of the three triggers on the crash cymbal, often make snare related sounds and this is illogical from a drummers perspective. I'd like to be able to map any drum trigger on the TD9 to any drum sound in drum rack or possibly through some intermediary part of Ableton. The different parts of drum rack are unavailable in MIDI Map mode and the MIDI Mappings window doesn't seem to have anything I need either.
I can probably change the way MIDI is sent from the TD9, but I would far rather solve this issue in Ableton itself.
